Plant Biochemistry Laboratory

Research and teaching activities are carried out in the plant biochemistry laboratory, B2 room located in via Irnerio 42. The equipment of the laboratory and the presence of specialized technicians allow the preparation of solutions and buffers, the preparation of culture media, extraction of nucleic acids, proteins and secondary metabolites from plant tissues/cells, preparation and running of gel for electrophoresis for proteins and nucleic acids.

Equipment available to the laboratory

- The laboratory is equipped with basic equipment: Speed Vacuum, magnetic stirrers, pH-meter, analytical balances, cells for electrophoretic runs, centrifuges

- There is also a chemical extractor hood.

The laboratory offers its resources to support:

• Practice of three-year and master's courses in: Biological Sciences (L); Natural Sciences (L); Molecular and cellular biology (LM).

The support of specialized technicians on the various sample preparation methods and protocols is always possible.
