Dynamics of fluvial, coastal and marine systems

Study of the dynamics of fluvial, coastal, and marine systems through the analysis of natural and human-induced processes that shape them, aimed at sustainable land management and risk mitigation.

Fluvial, coastal, and marine environments are complex and interconnected systems, shaped by geomorphological, sedimentary, and morphodynamic processes, as well as by human influences. Understanding how these systems function requires a detailed analysis of how these processes interact and change over time.

In the context of ongoing climate change, it is crucial to develop a solid understanding that supports effective monitoring of current phenomena and evaluation of how these environments respond to extreme events and human-driven transformations.

Research focuses on investigating the processes that shape fluvial, coastal, and marine systems, with the goal of developing tools for integrated management, sustainable land use, and risk mitigation.
