Quality of research and teaching

The Quality Assurance System must produce documentable or measurable effects on the improvement of teaching, research and third mission activities, and indirectly on administrative and management activities.

Quality of research

In the area of research quality, the approach dictated by the quality control involves by the introduction of quality principles at the departmental level: transparency, self-evaluation, information sharing, reporting of results in terms of indicators and documentary evidence. The Presidium promotes the culture of quality to facilitate self-evaluation, offering support to the Departments in defining research objectives and a third mission according to their specific characteristics and in line with the objectives of the University Strategic Plan.

Single Annual Report on Departmental Research (SUA-RD)

The Annual Report on Departmental Research (SUA-RD) is designed to gather information on research and the third mission, and is directly managed by the department from a self-evaluation point of view. During the annual review meeting, the Department collects and analyses qualitative and quantitative information relating to objectives, organisation, department quality policies, and research groups. This practice allows the department to reflect on its research and third mission activities and the related programming. SUA-RD is also used for the annual verification of research results for periodic evaluation and accreditation conducted by ANVUR.

The Department publishes the parts of the SUA-RD that allow students, families, companies and institutions to understand the goals, results and operations of the department from a quality perspective.
