The work benefitted from the collaboration of researchers and professors of different institutions, including Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna (Italy), ETH of Zurich (Switzerland), University of Milan (Italy), CNR (Rome and Pisa, Italy), and Geological Survey of Norway (NGU, Norway).

The work was conducted during the PhD programme of Dr. Curzi at Sapienza University of Rome. Dr. Curzi, currently post-doc researcher at Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna, works within the DFT- Deformation Fluid and Tectonics Research Group of BiGeA led by Prof. Giulio Viola, who also contributed to the JSG paper.
